COMPLIANCE SENIOR OFFICER
Grade: Senior Officer
Job summary
The role is responsible for ensuring that the operations of management and staff of the bank are in compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies and procedures.
The job holder is responsible for, among other things, ensuring that the bank operates with integrity and in compliance with applicable laws including the anti-money laundering and combatting financing terrorism law, regulations, and internal policies.
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Commerce, Economics or related field.
- 2 years’ experience in a compliance role in the banking industry.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Good planning and organization skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good problem solving and analysis
- Excellent relationship building and networking
Job responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
- The compliance officer is responsible for ensuring the Bank complies with all relevant regulation affecting functions within the Bank and report any breach where necessary.
- Establish standards and implementing procedures to ensure that the compliance programs throughout the Bank are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance.
- Responsible for establishing and ensuring compliance with processes and systems for the regulatory requirement of “Know Your Customer”.
